Telephony

My Phone System

I am currently running Cisco Unified Communications Manager 15 with Cisco Unity Connection 15 (Voicemail), and using Asterisk PBX instead of Cisco CUBE for trunks, and non cisco phones. The reason I am using asterisk instead of cisco CUBE is because I already have an asterisk instance running, and I do not have any space left in my rack to install a Cisco Router, nor do I want to deal with more licensing. CUCM sends calls to e911, PSTN, and other networks to Asterisk, which then asterisk routes. Currently at my house, I have an 8865 with a BEKEM for my main phone, and Cisco 8845s around my house. There are cisco 7841s in bathrooms which I will be explaining the reason for that below, and I have cisco SPA 122s running Landlines and Alarm Panels. I am using Open Paging Server for my paging server, and the Bathroom phones are configured to have a speed dial to send an automated message for toilet paper. The Alarm Panels on my Cisco SPA 122 ATA is dialing out to my receivers, which is then reporting to my Central Station. I am using my automation software so it intergrates with the paging server, for instance if my Fire Alarm Panel dials my receiver and sends a Fire Alarm Report, my automation software will trigger the paging server, and set off the evacuation messages on the phones. My PBX is fully Compliant with Kari's law, and Alyssas Law.

Future Plans

I am currently trying to get some Cisco 8875s and 9871s to replace some of my IP Phones with bad hookswitches. I am also planning on getting my Telecenter functional, and intergrated with my phone system. I also have a webex tenant I am currently not using, but I will be intergrating it with CUCM soon, so that I can use Webex as a softphone

Media

I will be uploading some videos and images of my system in action
